General Info.
Regrowth is a point and click adventure game. Regrowth stars a seed whose goal is to create a better world for it to be planted it. When it is first introduced to its surrounding world, things are in pretty bad conditions. It’s up to the player to figure out the what has to be done to restore the world to its former glory. Each screen presents the player with a puzzle that can be solved multiple ways. Generally, there is one good and one bad way. The good is more difficult, but results in the world becoming brighter and on its way to a good future. The bad solution is easier to figure out however results in the world becoming more washed out and doomed for destruction. The color change is quite subtle and only after a while will the player find out if what they have been doing was good or bad (though it is pretty easy to figure out in most cases). In the end, there are alternate endings that change based on the players decisions. The ending most players will get the first play through ends exactly the same way the game started. There are many themes in Regrowth including thinking about your actions ahead of time, planning things out, how things affect the environment, and the cycle of life and destruction (conveyed by the game restarting on its own). The game also has no text so that anyone in the world can enjoy it and learn from its environmentally friendly message.
